First City Chelsea Everton and now Spurs. I think they will need to be sanctioned properly to minimize cheating in football. Do you reckon Spurs should stripped off ALL their trophies they won after signing of Defoe or will the PL just deduct them points?

Clubs are getting caught left right and center for cheating but Fergie and United bribing referees somehow business as usual. Who will get caught next? I think more teams will be getting caught at this rate except maybe Arsenal.

Take the fine and move on. The current club people don’t deserve to take the beating from past mistakes/failures.

Lad, I’ll be honest, with the injuries, Romero’s red card and our lack of form. Give it four games and it’ll be like we have been deducted ten points. No need for a sanction when we are terrible. We will deduct them ourselves

ALl I’ll say is that the Premier League made a huge mistake going after Everton, I believe this whole things was like kicking an ant hill. ALl hell will break loose by clubs that ever even sniffed a breach of contract, FFP or anything related.

It’s ridiculous - how far back do you want to go back to find issues?

It’s the transfer of a player, not overspending by millions, bribes, or dodgy accounting - and the FA discharged it years ago.

If Spurs get any punishment for this, I can imagine the repercussions will be massive, I cannot see Levy taking it on the chin. The precedence will be set and that’s insane for all clubs, especially Chelsea and City; and I’m sure every club has at least one issue in the last 15 years.

Strip Spurs of all their trophies, raze the stadium to the ground and salt the earth. A 10 point deduction is all the rage these days so throw one of those in as well.

I very much doubt Spurs will get too much of a punishment, Everton’s was harsh. £20 million overspent isn’t exactly much for a premier league side. Think they’ve just been made an example of. City’s owners aren’t stupid. There is bound to be loopholes for their charges. They’ve done it before with UEFA and will more likely do it again. The Chelsea one is a strange one because the new ownership are the ones who reported the inaccuracies and it was all before their tenure. So I’d expect chelsea will get a punishment but it’ll more likely be a hefty fine (they’ve already paid an £8m fine to UEFA for issues they discovered). The league doesn’t benefit from these teams being relegated or expelled especially on a European level.
