While I still think it was a mistake to buy him, I think he has a better chance of coming good at Arsenal than somewhere like United or Real. United is an extremely toxic club that would’ve shattered what little confidence Havertz has, while Real is the greatest club of all time and you have a very limited window to suceed there before someone better comes along.

At Arsenal I feel like there’s a perfect balance of competitiveness and familiarity that can help Kai realize his potential, if there is any. Arteta obviously sees something in him that I don’t, and he’s willing to give a lot of time to players he believes in, for better or worse.

I really hope Kai becomes good here, because if he fails, questions need to be asked about giving Chelsea 60m for a proven flop. I really hope Mikel can unlock his potential.

I’d be shocked if he comes good after what I saw in the past 3 months. Imho questions already need to be asked if you look at the options that were available this summer for this kind of money - Palmer, Szoboszali, Maddison etc

I don’t think it’s helpful to compare players who were already in decent form and thus had little challenge in transitioning to their new clubs vs the utter sledgehammer that teams like Chelsea and United are to promising, developing players so that their next managers have to treat them like a build-a-bear project or Tin Man.

Szoboszali is a massive boy hood Liverpool fan with a big Steven Gerrard tattoo on his arm, he was never going to anywhere other Liverpool. Palmer and Maddison play as creative 10s we already have Odegaard, Vieira and Smith Rowe as as creative midfielders so I don’t see the need another playmaker

while Real is the greatest club of all time and you have a very limited window to suceed there before someone better comes along.

Why do you think Madrid are greatest club of all time? Why do you think City are dominating? Do they wait for an uncertain improvement in players? or do they go and get talent?

This is difference between serial winners and us. Real madrid have winning mentality, they dont just wait for a player they bought to " become good". If the player isnt performing they cut their losses and get a replacement.

The fact that you are saying Arsenal is the best place for Kai is showing you (although you dont realise it) that we are a mediocre club, in respect of the big clubs.

Can’t imagine how some of today’s fanbase would react to Titi’s debut season with us.

Signed like half the revenue, big gamble. Exciting talent who made a big move and flopped badly. And scored what, only 1 league goal in 15 matches as a fucking striker? What a disaster of a signing.

Not saying Kai will turn out to be Henry 2.0. But Edu & Arteta have done good work so far. Let’s give it a little bit of time and get behind the lad.

Stop making Thierry Henry look worse than he really was, he had an amazing debut season

He started the season slow but in the end he scored 26 goals when he had moved to a new league, new country, and was playing in a new position

Its cause they have no other option other than to try to bring you into an emotional argument by naming our best player.

They arent even comparing like for like, Henry had 1 bad season in a different league but undoubtable talent in tangible skills such as pace, touch, finishing. Whereas Havertz, a CF/CAM, has had 3 bad seasons in the PL and hasnt shown any tangible skills. In fact he has shown he has no vision, no finishing and no aggression so fans now state he has great off ball movement and keeps it ticking along etc…

and those questions have to be balanced against everything else that those who made this decision have done.
