Roman Abramovich is accused of paying people under the table. Man City have 115 charges.

Under Abramovich Chelsea have won - 5 League titles, 2 UCLs, 2 Europa Leagues, 5 FA Cups, 3 energy drink Cups, 2 supercups,

Under Sheikh Mansour Man City have won - 7 league titles, 1 UCL, 3 FA Cups 6 energy drink cups, 1 super cup.

Lets say hypothetically the EPL manage to prove it happened. And the points deduction is something that even Man City cannot recover from Eg. 90+ points deducted.

Would you be willing to accept a relegation to the championship for the above memories?

Eg. you saw your club win those things and have the memories of watching it?

With FFP etc I think City and Chelsea would both be heading towards bankruptcy through never ending FFP failures, penalties, and more relegations and the cycle gets worse

Hoping and whining, just hoping and whining. No matter what happens we’ll have Stevie G’s slip, Aguero, KdB, Silva, Haaland, Vinny, Fernando, Dias, Jonny Stones, Gundogan, Walker, Zab. Memories and players that are indelible on my and your and every football fan’s memory. The best team to ever grace our country. We’re probably innocent, if not we’ll probably get away with it and if not, I don’t care. I love my club. CTID

Rangers fan here definitely it did help that all the success happened when I was about 8-18

And the bad bit was much later in life when I had bigger priorities

I am assuming if they are willing to relegate them they will strip them of titles as well

not that anything is going to happen, the FA have no spine and City are their darlings

The fact that anyone thinks the FA like City is a mystery to me. Both UEFA and the FA hate city and that’s why we boy anthems and turn our backs.

They can’t strip titles, I believe it’s not a penalty they can deal. Which makes it all the more galling that these things drag on 14 years.

Even if relegated you could argue it’s the price of doing business and well worth the cost. A team like City couldn’t have become what it is by following rules designed to stifle competition and let the same group of preferred teams win the league.

As a man city fan I’d take it. The “cheating” in question is financial doping. Which is literally just a small club, levelling the playing field with the big clubs. So if we get relegated so be it. I have those memories and no one can take it from me, we were relegated once, we can come back up.

lol. Chelsea and City are the two Clubs that won the most trophies in the last 20 years of english football. While they are writing history all the other clubs try to grasp on the memories of the old, forgotten glory days where they once won a trophy or two. Like 40 years ago or some bullshit like this. And they are proud of it that their last trophy was this long ago. They call it history. Yeah, im sure all your grandpas had an amazing time.

Chelsea made the premier league lively again. Man united and arsenal would have won every damn year. Lets be honest, united alot more than arsenal. Chelsea made it interesting again. Suddenly there was new competition. What actually was also better for the smaller teams at the end of the day but you aint ready for this topic. They rescued the premier league you should all fall on your knees and kiss their boots for that or you would have bayern 2.0 with united and 11 wins in a row. After what Chelsea did foreign billionairs looked at it and saw it was possible and thats how City came along. They added another name to the mix. Cry all you want. You small clubs wish you would have someone stucking some money down your clubs ass. [Insert any of those petty other 14 clubs name] fans wish they had an owner who invest like city. Now all the fragile little peoples want to dismiss all those accomplishments as if Chelsea didnt ended Arsenal and City didnt ended United ON THE PITCH and started a new era of football. They obliterated you and instead of welcoming new competition you cry cheats and god knows what. As if the other clubs didnt do the same shit. Yeah sure, United never paid some extra cash. Sure, Juve didnt do that. Barca is a holy lamb they would never do that. Ahm… anybody remember Blackburn Rovers? Lmao. All you guys are petty as fuck. You would take those accomplishments in a heart beat. The smaller clubs never saw european play for decades and even the best of the small clubs, Spurs, didnt win shit for 30 years.

But sure, lie to yourself and all the others lmfao

I support any team that breaks FFP rules. I don’t like supporting establishment clubs who try to shut the door on others. What joy do you get from glory hunting Man Utd and Liverpool lol. They are the two most successful clubs in the country won the lot way before you supported them and are trying to close the shop by supporting FFP rules which I find to be vile and anticompetitive.

I’ve really enjoyed these years as a City fan and would follow us down the divisions if we get hit with a penalty. The alleged “cheating” is offering higher wages to players as the Chelsea fan said. It’s not match fixing or anything dirty. Also just seeing the football we played and the team spirit we have going is something I’ll never forget.

Nah. It’s fun to overperform as underdogs. Non-elite team fans would’ve just picked a bandwagon team to start with if they felt this way.

They need the Rangers treatment. I reckon Chelsea would slowly come back, Man City I’m not so sure. Small club with a decade of bought success, at least Chelsea had some history before the Russian money came in. Repossess the stadium and make City an example of what happens to cheaters in football. Punish Chelsea harshly as well.

Before the Abramovich takeover, Chelsea had 1 top flight title, 2 second division titles, 3 FA cups, 2 League Cups, and 2 UEFA Cup Winners Cup.

Before ADUG takeover, City had 2 top flight titles, 7 second division titles, 4 FA cups, 2 League Cups, and 1 Cup Winners Cup.

This is so lame. City existed before your club and has tonnes of history. Also has a fan base who famously followed their team to the lower divisions in their thousands each week. You don’t know what you’re talking about obviously.

As a United fan, I agree City had success and a decent fan base long before the takeover.

I’ll always have a soft spot for City for sharing their ground with United during the war and for their respect when Munich happened - unlike other teams, like Leeds, who were awful.

Thanks for the kind words. I shouldn’t say it but I have a small soft spot for United fans sometimes too. It’s better when we have a good rivalry between the two Manchester clubs. Although I don’t forgive you for the 34 years banner, you lot are usually pretty resonable.

There are sustainability rules, you can only spend a set amount more than you bring in. With PL revenue gone, City/Chelsea would need to sustain their sponsorship and ticket revenue in order to afford their wages etc. It’s done on a three year rolling calculation so they’d be ok if they came right back up but if somehow they shat the bed and didn’t, it could get interesting for them. Although if they didn’t come straight back up they’d then qualify for parachute payments, ridiculously enough.

There are FFP rules. Similar but lower amounts than the prem.

Without TV and European money city would have to sell near every player to not breach it.

Not just defending my team, but is it right to punish the current players and owners for the previous owners illegal moves? Definitely shouldn’t just let them off the hook and sure remove some of the trophies from that era. For Chelsea they already forced the owner to rush a sell (justifiably).
