I thought of another one. There is a minigame in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 called Tiger! Tiger that is great. it is basically an arcade game where getting certain scores gives you credits that can be redeemed for upgrades for some characters. The minigame is randomized and has three different difficulty tiers and is overall really well done.

Not sure if it will count, but the Ancient Cave in Lufia 2 (SNES) was a game in and of itself. It was basically a roguelike dungeon. 100 random floors, it reverts you to level 1 and there were rare special items you could sometimes find in runs that could be brought back in. Beating the Ancient Cave is much, much harder and more rewarding than beating the game itself (storyline aside).
zod000@lemmy.mlto Games@sh.itjust.works•Which wired controllers, without batteries, would you recommend for PC?English2·5 days agoI use DS4 pads plugged in, but I’d love a newer model that didn’t have a battery, but had the same layout. So many of the cheaper gamepads come with terrible dpads.
I don’t use any bags anymore if i can help it. I just load them into my trunk and use a little crate with wheels and a handle on it to bring groceries inside. The crate never leaves my home, so I can’t forget it.

zod000@lemmy.mlto Goth Industrial Music@lemmy.world•Five Records to Get You into INDUSTRIALEnglish2·8 days agoSolid list, but I’d probably have gone with something earlier by Skinny Puppy and maybe added Front Line Assembly - Caustic Grip or another FLA album as well. And yeah, the lack of NIN is glaring since that was probably the gateway drug for a lot of people with Pretty Hate Machine and Broken.

It supports connecting to Postgres, MySQL, and SQLite.English6·11 days agoYeah, DBeaver used to be unusable, but it is quite decent these days. I was really unhappy with Datagrip, so I decided to give it another try and I am glad I did.
As far as this tool goes, I don’t love the idea of having my tools in the browser, so this won’t work for me, but it is a cool project nonetheless.

Edit: Sorry, that wasn’t the official video, but it is probably better than the official video in retrospect
zod000@lemmy.mlto Goth Industrial Music@lemmy.world•Ministry Releases First-Ever Music Video for Their Reimagined Goth Anthem 'Everyday Is Halloween'English2·17 days agoNot sure if everyone saw, but this is video release is for promoting the new tour that will have a set list based on With Sympathy and Twitch. They are touring with My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult for parts of the tour. I am going to see them for sure since this is probably the only time I’ll ever see Everyday is Halloween live. They definitely didn’t play it when I saw them in the 90s.

zod000@lemmy.mlto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Random: What Happens When You Remove Charles Barkley From His Own Video Game?English7·24 days agoHah, I came to mention Gaiden as I love that game. You and the article are both correct for the most part, it definitely has story elements relating to Space Jam, not to mention Ghost Dad, and other seemingly random sources, but what you describe is probably the best quick summary of the setting.
It sounds so ridiculous, and I suppose it is, but it was so well done and entertaining.
The creator was working on the sequel for years and then kinda disappeared. It is probably for the best because I can’t see it living up to the hype of the weird fans like myself (and I can’t stand backetball!).
Edit: I just realized that the new game from the article is called “Hoops: Shut up and Jam”. Hoops was the name of Barkley’s son in Gaiden lol
My previous home in FL was two stories and I would nearly always break $300 for power for the hotter half of the year until I got solar panels, and that was with the A/C set to 78F, and I did not have a particularly large home. A newer apartment would definitely had an advantage on that front since you’re surrounded by other units.
67F would have cost me a fortune in FL. For some reason, super tall cathedral ceilings are common in FL homes, making cool costs even higher.
I just want my grocery store to start playing JRPG OSTs. Buying vegetables while jaming to Chrono Trigger songs would be the best. Black Omen? More like best Omen.
I’d never have even considered honey, but “hot honey” stuff has started becoming popular and it is pretty great so I bet honey on pizza works well.
Their https://eshop.thrustmaster.com/en_us/eswap-x2-pro-controller.html model looks good because you can swap out the dpad as well to give it the Playstation layout, but I wish I knew if their dpad was actually good. That is where nearly all third party controllers fail.
