This is just my opinion and personal experience, but people that really want a child don’t really debate with themselves over whether they should have a child or a pet. Yea, it’s a big, expensive, and rideable pet, but that seems to be what it boils down to. Based on that, I’m feeling that you don’t want a kid.

Is there supposed to be something here besides hashtags?
you_are_dust@lemmy.worldOPto Connect for Lemmy App@lemmy.ca•Cannot Access Some Communities Directly2·4 days agoSo it’s not longer doing exactly this now. The communities that have the issue now just throw an error. The error is “API ERROR: couldnt_find_object”. And it’s only happening on some communities. If it helps at all, it’s so far only been communities that aren’t on my home instance. And it’s not all communities on a specific instance.

The picture is the angry video game nerd screaming in a pool of beer. In case anyone needed that information for meme trivia.
Is the joke that everyone actually hates capitalism? I don’t personally know anyone that claims to love capitalism. We just deal with it because we have to since it’s what we have to work with.

Never wanted anything to do with the thing. As soon as I was ready to get rid of it, my cat started sleeping in it. They always know.

Cat collars are made with a different type of clasp than dog collars. Cat collars are made to separate with a little bit of pressure due to a cat’s tendency to squeeze through tight spaces. My cats are both indoor cats and remove their collars frequently. The older cat does it on purpose because he thinks his collar is a toy. The point being, cat collars can be very hard to keep attached. Absence doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a home.
This is an unusual take in my opinion, if you’re being serious of course. Video games are all about pretending. I’m not a serial killer, but I’ve played one. I’m not a taxi driver, but I’ve played one. I’m not a plumber, but I’ve played one. It’s pretty odd to say “I can’t play Spyro because I’m simply not a dragon.”
Probably. Those headphones look very similar to a cheap set of headphones I had that did the exact same thing. I bought a higher quality set and haven’t had an issue. So these are likely a cheap Chinese brand like mine was.

It raises the question of whether you can be lifelong rapist and pedophile and then do a good deed to erase the bad. As if it’s based on some kind of morality point system.

Reality will hit those kids hard if they go into adulthood thinking it’s a viable alternative to a traditional job. I used to know a woman that made only fans content and she worked a full time job as well. The market is already saturated.

I actually started testing the waters by installing Mint on an old netbook today. I game on PC, but the truth of why I’m considering changing is because I’m just sick of the crap with windows. Every new edition is just bigger, slower, filled with more bullshit. I’m just getting tired of disabling all the shit they want to force on me. I’m sure I’m not the only one, but of course this is just my personal experience.
you_are_dust@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Should I tell my 13 year old son about my job?2·18 days agoPossibly, but how would a friend know? I’m making an assumption that it would have to be an adult to make the discovery and then make it’s way down to the kids. Not impossible for that to happen, but it’s probably as likely that the son would never find out. Or not find out until he’s an adult and maybe the discussion is had at that time. While it’s not impossible for other kids to get access to this, it’s less likely than if this was a situation where Mom has an only fans or does porn or something that can be accessed on the Internet.
you_are_dust@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Should I tell my 13 year old son about my job?161·18 days agoI can’t see a positive to telling him that information. Kids don’t need to know every detail of their parents’ lives.
This one got me. I was already running it through my head why in the world they would want that before I saw what it was on.
