I live in Oregon and our car registrations are on a two year cycle. We pay $400 extra for having an EV each time. There are lower, but still significant fees for more fuel efficient ICE cars and hybrids too.

I know the odds are stacked against them, but I’d love to see Canoo succeed
It may not mean you love Musk, but it means you’re ok supporting him. It doesn’t mean you’re antisemitic, hate trans people, etc. But it means that those don’t bother you. Elon is synonymous with Tesla, and he’s very clear about what stands for.
And for what it’s worth, I think buying a Lucid communicates a very similar sentiment, even though that’s about the company’s Saudi ties, not Rawlinson.
I’m sure other automotive CEOs also hate Jewish and LGBTQ people, but they 1) haven’t made themselves the sole face of their companies and 2) are smart enough to keep that shit to themselves
Edit: and yes, we own a Tesla. It’s older and we bought it both used, and before we knew how awful Musk is. We won’t buy another as long as he leads Tesla, but we can’t afford to replace it right now
I’ve slept multiple nights in a Model 3, and I think it would be very tight for two because of the narrowing of the passage between the seats. The Y would be a better pick from Tesla’s lineup.
