3·2 天前Yeah, the TenForward community tends to be pretty chill.
Right? Put a tasteful family crest behind it, and you’ve got some wall art.

7·3 天前Well damn, that’s fine work. I thought Data looked a little unnaturally crisp in this one.
(Edit: give me a sec, and I’ll replace it with this one)

2·5 天前Still, at least it’s not Demon’s Souls. Some of those run backs are just sadistic.
That swamp…
I did some googling, but I didn’t find much info other than everyone seemed to have different standards back then (this would’ve been the 1960s/1970s).

23·6 天前It also works as a soft control for balance, since those disappearing enemies can’t be farmed to over-level.

11·5 天前That does seem to be the direction the games have been going, and I think it must be an audience patience thing.
Demon Souls is a good example of the level being the main challenge, with the boss at the end as more of a bonus (Flamelurker being an exception). Later games, even Elden Ring, are way more boss focused.
I guess I like both, although now that you mention it, we’ve had a lot of dance move bosses lately, and it would be cool to see a new game go back to the genre’s roots.

12·9 天前I interpret it as drawing a distinction between how we live before vs after coming to terms with the fact that our time is limited.
