  • Having purchased an axe16000 just last week i have to say its a massive improvement over my previous rog router, which has now been resigned to a mesh node. I didnt want to wait and go with unratified bleeding edge tech. But will probably upgrade again in 2 years time. I’m on 1Gb wan, but getting 1.6 installed next week. This router perfectly handles my 2.5gb internal home network, and im looking forward to gradually upgrading my home internal network to 10gb over the course of the next few years. I’m currently using Wan1 as primart, lan 1 (ethernet 1gb) as a secondary failover emergency wan. One of the 10gb sockets as a backhaul to a corresponding 10gb network hub that feeds out to my home machines and Nas etc… the question you need to ask yourself is do you want to be a beta tester on a new product, or go with something established for a few years first. :)
