what i love about jesus and saka, to some degree martinelli as well - they don’t lose the ball. might take it backward, not do something too useful, but they generally won’t lose it. they’ll ride the challenge, get a touch, dribble or something to keep it and keep the play going even when they’re crowded out and surrounded. really underrated and it should be a quality in the next cf we look at too

have to say we are seeing slow improvements with havertz, it’s giving me hope. he’s contributing a decent amount now, getting more useful with each game. looked a lot more comfortable starting from the right to be fair. he adds such a different dimension with the long balls into him, keeps getting into the last line to win those

everyone was pretty off it yesterday, didn’t really show up to compete till way later. this chelsea side is good, classic poch, pressing like hounds. great players in the side too. we were sloppy when we couldn’t really afford to be. almost felt like the team thought second gear should be enough, but it’s tough against real quality

difference between raya and ramsdale i’ve seen so far - raya has a more natural understanding of how to start attacks/ build play with passing. has that picture/ idea of how to pass to move the opponent around, where the spapce is and where it will be etc etc. its just not as ‘normal’ for ramsdale as it is for raya. not that it can’t be learnt
