God bless Sevilla
It’s why it’s so funny when people call him lazy, just couldn’t be further from the truth. On the ball, I’m still unsure how much we want/need him to be involved in the buildup as he’s not as impactful there.
In the box though, I’m certain he will score more when we find the runs he makes more. Instinctive players like him need balls to run onto for those one and two touch finishes. We’re not creating enough clear cut chances for all of our attackers and it’s something we need to figure out.
Timber should be there 💔
This was actually tried once or twice in preseason if i remember correctly. Please stop asking for it.
I sat under it today, it’s some sort of track built along the west stand just under the upper tier and the camera moves back and forwards based on something. Maybe remote controlled, not sure. Never noticed it before.
I think I agree tbh. I think all the options we have at the club leave a lot to be desired for a team that wants to win PL/UCL.
Also on Raya, call me crazy but despite the errors he’s making on the ball he doesn’t strike me as ‘shaky’ or nervous. It’s just a case of being a bit too casual or making a poor mistake. He’s not jittery, or resorting to launching it out of fear.
Need to remember that he hasn’t had a preseason with us and is learning on the job. When our defence and him get a better understanding these errors will reduce.
Still keen to give him some time. He obviously cannot continue having Jekyll and Hyde performances every week, but i think we’ve seen enough to suggest that if he can build consistency week in week out over a 90 then we go up a level higher compared to when Aaron plays. We want to win major titles which is worth the time we need to give him to settle imo.
Although Partey - Rice - Odegaard as a midfield looks strong on paper because of how strong the 3 are individually, I just think the balance of it is off and the team could suffer creatively.
Havertz in the left 8 hasn’t worked well from a buildup POV because he is just not involved either by instruction or a lack of familiarity but he is the best left 8 we have when looking at the other 2/3 3rds of the pitch. Vieira i think would be significantly better as a RCM than the LCM spot he seems to be competing for but this would mean dropping Ode. Would prefer to see a test with Rice - Odegaard - ESR as a 3 which may be the most balanced on paper and has bags of pressing, creativity and ball carrying abilities in it.
People will be very disappointed if they think Toney is significantly better than Eddie. Give Eddie his amount of games and penalties a season and his numbers won’t be too far off.
Can you watch that performance, and seriously think we need to spend £60m+ on Toney so we can go more direct? I don’t think so. We have that guy.
No matter what the circumstances, I will never ever get bored of seeing Manchester United lose.
