I’ve had every generation of CX5 and leased a cx30 for a year. I hated the 30, the ride was harsh, it felt cheap, it was kind of ugly the more I looked at it. I’ll admit, it’s a good value car, but if you can afford more, do it.
Once the 2022 facelift hit the CX-5 Turbos, I turned my lease in. I’ve got a nicer ride, more cargo room, more ride height, and an aggressive look. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t convince myself to make the 30 a “drive it until the wheels fall off” car. I can confidently say that my current CX5 is here to stay and I don’t have that desire for anything else.
