I went for a test drive today. I went in just wanting to test drive the cx-30. But ended up driving the cx 5 as well. I really liked the 5.

i only take my car to the train station and drive on weekends. The price difference between the 30 and 5 isn’t that large. I am concerned about the width difference. My current car is a 2006 corolla. The cx 30 is 4 inches wider. The 5 is 6 inches. Some of the parking spots are narrow. Am i over thinking this? I’m used to driving a sedan. So I don’t want to get something that will be too big for me.

I’ve had every generation of CX5 and leased a cx30 for a year. I hated the 30, the ride was harsh, it felt cheap, it was kind of ugly the more I looked at it. I’ll admit, it’s a good value car, but if you can afford more, do it.

Once the 2022 facelift hit the CX-5 Turbos, I turned my lease in. I’ve got a nicer ride, more cargo room, more ride height, and an aggressive look. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t convince myself to make the 30 a “drive it until the wheels fall off” car. I can confidently say that my current CX5 is here to stay and I don’t have that desire for anything else.
