Hey let’s not be pessimistic. Based on the current societal trajectory we might be living in the best period of history, end of the 20th, beginning of the 21st centuries. We had an amazing life with access to awesome technology for personal use that we didn’t have to lease. We weren’t under 247 surveillance by corporations. A brief period of technological freedom for a smallish group of humans before we went to corporations authoritarian hell.

The first Obama term i felt like ok fine change is hard and people are making it hard, give it more time.

By the middle of Obamas second term I was mad. Nothing really changed and it didn’t feel like he and the dems were fighting to make the changes. In hindsight im not sure exactly what changes I expected or what specifics they campaigned on. I think they sold a feeling more than specific actions. Hard to remember.
