1 year agoI recently lost an 18tb drive. My younger 6x18tb RAIDZ2 array has been losing drives faster than my 9x8tb RAIDZ2 array. In the past I lost two 18tb drives at once.

It is somewhat tempting, but I bought six 18tb drives a few years ago. I have already replaced half of them. My nine 8tb drives have been much more reliable.
