Fougère Friday second luxury shave with Boendoebaard’s Brut dupe in the luxurious sheep base. Sheep tallow soaps just really seem to agree with my skin.
It’s BBS November, so maybe I can get it together to have a safety razor shave for my second luxury shave today.
That’s the spirit 😄

BBS November is back and I’m excited to plow through my den after sticking to the Stank® and open blades during TabOKtoberfest. To start off, I’m copying u/Oswald_Heist’s SOTFF of last Fougère Friday (minus Fanchurian knot) today for a stanky Fougère Friday. A simple but powerful combo, strong enough to get through my stuffy nose.
The MMOC was like visiting an old friend, and it got me to BBS in three quick and enjoyable passes. I’ve been neglecting my synths recently, so the ease of lathering was a welcome change.
Oh, I hope nothing bad happened!

for auld lang syne. 🎶The year of the Stank® 2024 is over, the TabOKtoberfest festivities are winding down, and Stanksgiving is upon us. Today’s Stanklebration was a dignified, somber, and bittersweet affair. Bittersweet because the wonderful Böker 14er is smooth, the Stank® is glorious, the brush is luxurious, the lather is slick, the routine is on point. Everything is as good as it’s gonna get, but at the same time, routine is starting to turn into monotony and it’s time to move on.
BBS November will be a nice change of pace and I have the first 14 SOTDs already set up. I’m looking forward to mixing it up both hardware and software wise.

I’m copying @sahenders@sub.wetshaving.social’s SOTD of last Saturday because the scent combo sounded interesting, and also because I liked his SOTD picture (I wasn’t alone in that and it became the sub’s side bar picture of this week).
VoA is one of the most difficult scents for be to place. u/Jimtasticness used to describe it as clean dirt and that’s a good way to put it. There’s something about the citrus and tobacco that makes the coal, tar, motor oil, diesel, burning rubber, and smoke nice. Combining it with Gravefruit is fun, because by contrast, mostly the bright grapefruit and yuzu of it come through.
The BR-1 is probably objectively my best DE razor. Super efficient, just enough blade feel to guide you as you find your angle, super gentle. A foolproof design. But it’s also no very exciting to use IMO, a bit like the Henson. Not sure what to make of that.
