Have you changed the color settings to have SDR content stretch outside of the sRGB color space? That’s what that slider does iirc.

Also make sure you’re not nearly maxed out on internal storage capacity. This can cause a lot of problems.

I’d try the update again. I’d wager this was an issue applying the update, not an issue with the update itself. If it happens again, you know what to do to reverse it, and know not to update until maybe the next update, or reach out to valve.

I have had this issue with my 1000xm3’s on just about any audio source that is wired. They’re not a great experience wired because the wired connection bypasses a lot of the processing the headphones do by default when wireless. I am unsure if this is true for the XM5’s. Have you tried other wired sources?

I wonder if the more annoying issue you’d run into would be a frame-pacing issue due to VRR not being perfect yet for external displays and not having an easy way to adjust frame rate and refresh rate manually in desktop mode. Unless my info is outdated.
