understandable. but I am in the camp of 1600p 144hz is nothing when the battery is dead. i do love the steamdeck being fast enough and also double the battery life of any other pc handheld. i really do want to see what SD 2 would be like.

prob due to 3.5 update. theres a toggle at the very bottom of the same panel for the performance overlay to display in the steam ui.
I put the server and drives in another room so I don’t hear it. but all the larger drives are 7200rpm so they are a bit noisier than some of the “smaller” 12tb and 14tb drives.
if noise is your primary concern, don’t pick exos or the WD DC HC series, they’re data center/enterprise hard drives and those guys don’t care about noisy drives or heat and they use crazy loud fans so you wouldn’t hear the drives anyway.
your 12tb is 5400rpm, when you go bigger they start using 7200rpm drives and they’re typically louder but not always. 5400rpm is usually quieter and cooler running.
valve staying true to their word, using “limited” edition and not “collectors” edition and actually having a true qty cap. they also did really well with preventing a good amount of bots and scalpers.
i also found it cute seeing so many posts before with people saying “oh its just a different shell and some color, they can just run it again if they wanted to.” i want to hear from valve how many they actually made.
the 100w actually do show wattage split just scroll down and in the details. for the 120w its upto 100w each and evenly split but total 120w. and the type A is always at max which is 22.5w max but always max 120w
67w the type c is also evenly split of 65w so each would do 32.5w max
also yes unfortunately these only have plugs for us market.
I’ve been an anker fan so maybe these will work. unfortunately some are no longer on blackfriday sale. the 67w one was 38usd
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09W2N774C/ high enough so that you can do 60w 60w from both type c or in your case 65w and 40w without any drops in wattage.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4DGBHY2/ this works too but with two type c occupied you do get a slight drop, 65w and 35w
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4YTB56H/ i personally went with this 67w since i’m only charging the deck and maybe a phone if needed or my portable battery which tops out at 60w recharge. and also wanted it to fit in my bag with the deck.
short answer yes,
before 3.5.5 you had to run a script so that it would auto mount usb/external drives but now it will auto mount them without script. make sure your steam deck is updated to latest.
doable with or without ssd, as long as it’s on the same network and logged into the same account the SD will see the files and actually pull as much data from whatever local source instead of the internet. now I don’t know how it will handle it if the downloaded files are different because you installed the game to a mac but i know it works flawlessly between linux/steamdeck/windows.
there are also browser extensions, one I use is augmented steam and it just inserts the deal and historical deal info inline with the store page, they scrape their info from isthereanydeal.com instead of steamdb. they have graphs you can compare price trends and see if it typically goes on sale during seasonal events or conventions/expos
some publishers also have a lower limit on their deals too, one notable is koei tecmo and the atelier series as they almost never fall below $20 even with displayed deep discounts like 60%.
Attached photo. Screw holes are the same location. I didn’t screw it in just fit together with clips so I didn’t check if screw depth is same.
ok so i have the purple jsaux with the metal plate and no vent hole for the fan, it fits but the metal plate and pad is not compatible. the metal plate on the oled version is not flat and the thermal pad does not sit flush. besides that everything clips together fine.
because of the thermal pad i do see very slight bulge where it is supposed to contact the metal plate.
Just got an email with tracking# just now for my limited edition, ship today pls!
on my mobo and cpu, I use the hba first as theres more bandwidth. mobo sata last as one of my two nvme ports runs through chipset and chipset to cpu is limited bandwidth, roughly 4GB/s total so sata and one nvme competes for that.
if you have a cpu/mobo thats made in the last year or two you would have more speed for that interconnect and its not that big of a worry.
TP-link wifi plugs with energy monitoring (theres a 4pack on sale right now too) and theres a github repo for a energy monitoring docker and also one for grafana that pulls from these tp-link smart plugs.
maybe try some fixes and settings from protondb https://www.protondb.com/app/703860
might find some useful comments, also i like having protondb plugin on decky loader so i can see it on the game page in my library too.
