5 hours agoThere’s already an initiative to launch a third-party ATProto relay. Hopefully soon enough, we’ll be able to post on Bluesky without relying on Bluesky PBLLC’s infrastructure.

LGBT content on rednote is usually posted with #le and #wlw, as far as I heard.
It’s still in closed beta. You can’t “just sign up.”
5·5 hours agoI’ve heard discussion of Pixelfed on both TikTok and RedNote, which is exciting! Hopefully it’s easy to use.
They recently added new translation features. I don’t think it’s going to happen.

There is still an active debate about whether Bridgy Fed should be opt-in or opt-out. As far as I can tell, however, they are working on implementing instance-level opt-in, meaning Gargon would have the ability to automatically enable bridging for mastodon.social users.

In all likelihood, Red Note will be banned banned, probably before the Red Note devs add a built-in translate function.
Red Note is currently the number one app on the US Apple App store.

The TikTok ban is something Mark Zuckerberg lobbied for. It’s not a good thing.
