Messi vs Champions League Quarter Finals

Messi won the world cup, I can admit he is the goat because of that. Before he won that though it was absolutely closer than Messi fans want to admit. He was going out of the Champions League in the round of 16 and never making it past the quarters for like 6 years straight.

Regardless of how well he did at Barca it was clear Messi was going to get the credit for his work. We saw this with their comeback vs. PSG. That game was won because of Neymar. Messi and Suarez had literally given up and Neymar was the only one still fighting.

The biggest reason outside of that is fitness. He just can’t stay fit all season.
