Lost respect for Kenny Dalglish and Gerard during the Suarez racism debacle. Felt like they were better people than to be so one eyed during that incident, especially with the whole team t-shirt thing (respected Jordan Henderson for calling it out as wrong and not wearing the t-shirt). Could definitely have been handled better. Not as upset about it now but was definitely disgusted then.
Not sure if I would say lost respect for Pep, but definitely opened my eyes to the reality and complexity of sports washing in football, specifically for his comments and stance towards supporting Man City’s position when faced with the 100+ financial breaches. At a point he just seemed to back himself into a corner and was forced to double down.
Gained respect for Arteta for the way he handled discipline in the Arsenal squad.
