  • A lot of older games, watch out this will probably become a longer thread.

So I’m 22 but I’m also really into old games 80, 90 early 2000. There are a lot of games I want to play and I felt like time was an issue. So when starting my retro adventure I was often prompt to follow a walkthrough. It was so I could enjoy the game without missing essential parts (which is very possible in older titles) and so I could save some time. It was only after a longer time that I discovered that playing those games and completing them wasn’t as fun as it used to be. While playing ‘ocarina of time’ for the first time I followed a walkthrough to find all collectibles and items and only realized in the end game that that was the thing that ruined my experience. It wasn’t an adventure anymore but more like a tasklist that I was gradually completing. Nowadays I still use the internet for some issues but only when I’m absolutely stuck or at the end of the game to finish some stuff but I try exploring on my own and it is WAY more enjoyable. I still look up stuff its just not my to go thing anymore. So long story short looking things up can be helpful just watch out to not look up too much and ruin your gaming experience.
