I bought nothing. Autumn sale always comes between poor pay periods for me. I wanted to pickup Signalis and the doc for risk of rain 2. Despite how cheap they are, just outside of my affordability this pay period. lol broke like in winter.
I’m more than halfway through a double at work… My OLED was delivered 2 hours into my shift. I have 4 hours to go…. I just want to go home.
On weather or NT to get a new oled deck, really have to understand why you didn’t use the of deck. If you can nail down those specific reasons, and the oled deck addresses them, it might e worth it. But if those reasons are non addressable in the new model, then no end to spend the money.

Personal preference really. But it comes down to your willingness and confidence to open the deck. I personally bought the 512gb deck originally to specifically avoid needing to do this in the first place. I have a 512gb sd card with my 512 gb deck and that’s been plenty for games I want installed as well as an emulation library of games I’m likely to want to play. It’s been good so far.
A big contributing factor to this plan for me was the fact that the original deck uses plastic screw stems and self tapping screws for assembly. And not brass inserts and machine screws. The new OLED Deck now uses insets and machine screws, so I am more likely to go out and get a nice 2TB drive for that when it arrives.
The more limited space does make me think a little more about what I want to play though.

I’m honestly glad anyone who really wanted one could actually get one. I think at this point they could open it up to international buyers. Just have longer shipping lead times obviously. I’m hoping people who gave up mid launch because of the problems and initial out of stock figured out that it was in waves and came back for it.
It’s my kind of gaudy.
Glad they are using ups this time.
