- To stop paying evil oil megacorpoations.
- They’re also really nice and fun to drive.
- Less to maintain.
Interesting, thanks! So, not a tent designed for that, but just one that can help keep the elements out?
If so, were you able to get it to be mosquito-proof?
Some people want all the outdoor parts of camping but not the tent parts.
Some people would prefer more sleeping comfort and ease.
Some people have loved camping in tents, but now are older and/or feeling too infirm to want to endure the colder damper weather at night.
Some people have a partner who is only willing to camp in more comfort.
Some people are worried about animals at night.
Some people want to camp at times, or in places, where a tent would be miserable.
Some people want a way to escape wildfire smoke.
Some people want to be able to travel and have places to sleep without using a hotel.
Some people want to live in their cars.
Some people find cheap hotels to now be way too expensive.
Some people find cheap hotels too often problematic.
Some people want to not deal with hotel reservations and availability.
Some people want to be able to wander at will and sleep wherever.
Etc.
We went through a similar process, except we test drove each time. Our sequence was: VW ID.4, Hyundai Kona, Ioniq 5&6, Nissan Ariya, Kia Niro, EV6, Toyota zb4x, Tesla 3LR.
After trying all those, we knew we wanted an EV, and we narrowed it to 4 and did more research, which had it still too close to call between the ID.4, Ariya, Ioniq, and EV6.
At that point, I felt about the same as you about the Ariya, and was leaning towards the EV6.
But then we test drove them again, and that had us liking the ID.4 and Nissan for the interior feel and comfort.
We ended up getting an Ariya FWD. I had had the same first impression about it feeling a bit like an ICE automatic SUV . . . but after driving it a bit more, I no longer feel that way. It just took a little getting used to, but the abundant effortless power and handling are there, and I now really love how it drives and feels, now that I am used to it. Just saying.
Yeah that’s a big flaw. Just one tank is usually well over $60.
