E.g. Hojlund is a good player, good enough to one day win Man Utd a title, but he’s not a striker where most of the midfield like to come inside. He’s the kind of striker that would excel in a crossing team.

He’s forced to do the dirty work like Rooney did towards the end, instead of just scoring like Rooney did at the beginning. I’m not saying he’s as good as Rooney, but comparing the roles he had to play and the success the team had when he had to drop deep all the time vs when he didn’t.
