The switch will soon be the most successful gaming handheld of all time. Of course valve is going to copy its best features. Nobody buying the switch 2 is going to be like oh wait maybe I’ll get a steamdeck instead which can’t (legitimately) play Nintendo games. I bet the vast majority of switch owners don’t even know the steamdeck exists and even of they did they wouldn’t understand why someone would want one over the switch. The steamdeck will always be a niche product at least in any foreseeable future.

I was looking at my oled vs lcd last night and the difference is surprisingly subtle in my opinion. Blacks of course are the most significant difference. But I think the additional bonus of being a bit lighter, better battery, 90hz, better click on the trackpads, etc still make the upgrade worth it for me. If I had been able to compare before ordering I may not have bothered upgrading to be honest. It’s really not as big of a deal as people make it out to be
