The PL website is wrong. He was born in Telford, England to welsh parents. So, he’s English.

Edwards was born in England. That makes him English, dickhead.
Tbh, I think the very last thing that PL football needs at the moment is ‘more’ rules open to human interpretation. They’ve done their best to fuck the game up wth VAR already - let’s not give them any more ideas.
Tbf, Man City are not yet anywhere near the run of league titles won by Liverpool in the 70s / 80s - City’s run will come to an end eventually.
The cure to the gross inequality amongst the divisions is to just ban foreign ownership of English football clubs - full stop. Sure, they’ll be a period of adjustment as clubs learn to operate within their means - and they will lose some players to overseas teams meaning they might not be able to compete against top euro teams for a while - but so what. If it means rescuing the English football pyramid it would be worth it. Money has and is ruining the game.
It won’t happen, of course.
They just lost 0:2 to Brentford and never even looked close to scoring. So, I’d say they will do well to even finish ‘mid table’.
I agree with you to a certain extent - but at the end of the day there are just too many pundits constantly giving their opinions all over the TV. When I was a kid (70’s / 80’s) we had Match of the Day with Jimmy Hill on BBC and the Saint and Greavsy show on ITV - that was it as far as I can remember. And there wasn’t the endless talk about tactics and playing styles that dominates today - you just watched a game and enjoyed it, without trying to break it down and endlessly analyse it - I find it all a bit tiring, tbh.
