How long ago was the outlet installed? Did you unplug the charger regularly?
The 14-50 on my oven did exactly this about a year ago.
My hope would be that the chargers are spaced out with long cords to allow people to unplug fully charged cars to plug in other spaces.
Government policy enforcement via litigation is immortal in my opinion. The government needs to be the one paying to enforce the law.
But here, the company was dragged through court and paid significant legal fees to defend itself against allegations the court ultimately threw out. So despite no legal basis, they were still punished with significant legal fees.
