I think more than anything it’s about the fact that Ronaldo is a very outspoken person and you can very easily see who he is as a person. Flaws and strengths, he has a personality on full show. For all Messi is, he’s not really a public persona. It makes it more difficult to look up to him and relate to him IMO.
I mean yeah, Ronaldo worked for it but come on, he was also insanely talented. Hard work alone didn’t get him where he is. I don’t think there’s really that much between the two in that sense.
Osimhen. He’ll without a doubt be looking like Kane when he gets to his age. IMO he’s the most talented natural striker in football right now. I know you have Haaland but I think he’s not so much a striker as he is the peak of the poacher role.
I don’t know how he still goes under the radar after the season he had with Napoli, but I doubt he would if Bayern snapped him up.
I would not like to win through financial dominance from more than questionable sources, no.
I’m sorry, over a billion spent and he only really bought 2 world class players? And he took a “decent” Grealish for 100 mil? Either he’s a shit spender with a crap eye, or you’re huffing pure bollocks.
If we were gonna switch, it should’ve been for Tuchel. There’s not gonna be any man manager better than Southgate, even if his tactical and player picks are questionable at times, and that’s what we need for a national team manager.
The owner of Chelsea was Russian. Russia was sanctioned. The owner was forced to sell. The government withheld the money owed to the Russian owner as part of the sanctions. The money was promised to Ukrainian war victims. They appear to still be withholding it either out of bureaucratic incompetence or a greed for the interest generated from it.
