Emery literally had his shot to achieve something with Arsenal and he didn’t. He wasn’t capable enough to manage that club through a crisis.

Arteta really isn’t getting enough credit. He managed to weather a storm and improve that squad tremendously. I haven’t been a fan of all his decisions, but you can’t deny he got more right than wrong or else they wouldn’t have been back at the top of the PL.

Emery seems more at place at clubs like Aston Villa, Sevilla and Villareal.

Arteta played a blinder, his one mistake was going too hard for the Europa League. Lost two key defenders to injury in one game. The rest is history.

You’d have to be a complete no-nothing to write that off as something anybody else could have done. That is not a very good Arsenal team, but they almost did a Leicester. The scale of the achievement shouldn’t be disrespected.
