Sounds like you’ve got some cool equipment picked out but what is your actual goal? How I would use and set up equipment to run a home network that tech illiterate family will connect to is very different from how I would run a lab environment is different again to how I’d host servers I run things I care about on. Different design goals create different considerations to factor in.

What is it you are trying to do with a server that you are trying to throw a xeon gold at rather than one of the lower end server chips?
