About the closest thing to a hot hatch currently in EV world would be the VW ID3 or Cupra Born - I’ve driven a MG4 XPower and while it’s stupidly fast in a straight line (like Tesla M3P fast) it does not have decent handling dynamics unlike the other two. They are all still large cars (Golf/T-Roc sized) and quite heavy, the usual compromise you get with EVs. Maybe the incoming VW ID2 might be what you are looking for?

G81 M3 Touring. Because I like the looks and the wagon/estate shape balances out the beaver teeth grill best imo. And I am buying one, I don’t need or want anything more expensive or faster.
Everyone needs a M car in their life at some time.
