The 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 games in the UCL also highlight this. Good thing the UCL is also a weaker league eh?

Sounds like the only one kidding themselves is you tbh.
Your point being?
Does Messi count? R9 and Messi. Think how outrageously amazing Messi and Suarez were. And now do pretty much the only upgrade available on that partnership.
Oooof. Basically Son and Kane, except R9 instead of Son 🤯
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a classic example of the average modern football fan. Fans who have been so spoilt by Messi and Ronaldo and their freakish numbers that their entire perception of footballers has been skewed. Scoring at a rate of a goal a game or better isn’t enough anymore, apparently more is needed to be considered a top footballer. Some of the widely acknowledged greatest strikers in the history of football never came close to posting the type of numbers that Haaland is posting, and by the time he’s done he will have obliterated many of their goal records.
Unless you have been alive and following football since it’s inception, or found video footage of every great player in history and watched it all, it is absolutely foolish to claim who you think is the greatest players of all time. You just don’t have the knowledge or the experience of watching those players play, nor the challenges they faced compared to modern players. It’s not recency bias, its bias to what you’ve actually seen vs what you haven’t. You can only truly pick the best player of your lifetime or more specifically, since you started watching football.
Plenty of examples of this in the past. Take a look at Barcelona 2009-2016 as a great example.
Lol this is Mane vs Salah all over again.
Not surprised, as an Everton fan you must be used to scrolling right to the bottom of the page 🤣
