I don’t understand how people rate haaland in the top 3 for the new gen of players. If we r talking goals or top strikers then yeah sure, BUT FOOTBALLER??? The guy only knows how to score and that’s it. Players like Valverde, Mbappé, Alvarez, Muisala, Jude, Vini, Camavinga, Tchouaméni etc. are so much better and well rounded than him.

There is only one thing that counts in football. Scoring goals. If you have the best goalscorer. Chances are you win.

Haaland puts the ball in the back of the net more than most people at the moment he also has great positioning and awareness. He’s also extremely athletic. He’s good.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a classic example of the average modern football fan. Fans who have been so spoilt by Messi and Ronaldo and their freakish numbers that their entire perception of footballers has been skewed. Scoring at a rate of a goal a game or better isn’t enough anymore, apparently more is needed to be considered a top footballer. Some of the widely acknowledged greatest strikers in the history of football never came close to posting the type of numbers that Haaland is posting, and by the time he’s done he will have obliterated many of their goal records.
I highlighy dislike Man City but I don’t understand the Haaland criticism. “He is only a goal scorer”, he will most likely have every goal scoring record by the time he’s finished making him statistically the greatest striker to ever play. He is a pure finisher/fox in the box type. I wish we had a pure finisher up top Lmao.
For technical ability, maybe. His job is to score goals and he does that better than pretty much everyone in the world so deffo cracks the top 10
