I’m glad there’s at least one top 6 contender playing today. Thanks Villa.

You don’t understand how this works. City will get the 10 points lost by Everton.
Chelsea are a team with talented players, a proven PL coach, and good underlying metrics. They will finish above United and Spurs. We should have capitalized on their shit form. It is what it is. Good weekend for us. Onwards.
PGMOL will give him the victory over Villa and then fuck them over against City because their oil overlords have invested a lot in the city that Premier League refs grew up in.
12 matches played and United are one point above Newcastle, 5 points behind Spurs. With a -3 GD. It’s funny because United probably don’t deserve to be even 6th, but at the same time the other two are regressing to their mean, which is probably just above United.
Really can’t count on mid table teams to take points off City.
These mid-table teams are pretty annoying when you have to play them away on a cold and rainy night. No wonder we dropped 2 points.
Is it surprising though? City can lose some matches but have proven they can still go on a winning run, a million games in a row. Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in England so criticism is expected if we don’t achieve what this club has been able to achieve in the near past. Tottenham, nobody gives a shit.
Most top teams need a player who can play in both the league and Europe. Maddison twice a week would be injured already.
We even deserved the Palace win. We defended well with 10 men, it wasn’t luck.
At some point, teams will figure them out and respect them more. Then if they don’t have a bench for plan B, and they get a few injuries at the end of the season… well you know the rest. The title race wasn’t that close last season. City won it with a few games to spare. They could have easily won their last matches and made the point difference between us less respectable.
Lads… It’s okay to admit Spurs are playing entertaining football at the moment. It’s also okay to predict that they are highly unlikely to win the title. Other than the history of the Tottenham, it’s the way they play and their depth. There’s a reason City don’t go all guns blazing during the first 1/4 of the season. The same reason Arteta sacrificed a bit of creativity to make us a more resilient team.
I still think there’s some wasted potential by playing Raya and not Havertz. Today Chelsea closed off all of our passing lines by overloading the midfield with a false 9. Either we bring on a ball carrier or we hoof it up to Havertz. We took too long to adapt. Whether it’s the tactics or players not following instructions, it’s the coaches’ job to change things up mid-game.
This is what happens when English refs have instructions to “give the game a chance”.
Sandcastle in the mud under the Parisian rain. Love it.
