I wonder if they’ll get the same energy of, “We have to respect the ref’s decisions!” as we got.

That depends, will Newcastle fans spend a week whinging about it?

Or will they dust themselves off, get on with it, and laugh at the fact they’ve rattled Arsenal so hard they’ve actually managed to generate posts like this in a game Arsenal aren’t even involved in?

      (Clue: It’s the latter).

Oh yes, Dust themselves off, listen to Shearer’s exploitive-laden rant, listen to Howe moan and complain, high five a fellow toon because they’re still fans of a team owned by a journalist-murdering, gay-hating petro-state, then join others in leaving whiney comments on news articles whining about injustice, then, a few days later, sift through the archives of Reddit, after wiping away a tear, to respond to a comment from days ago.

But I will respond out of courtesy, brave, noble orc, even though I’ve got better things to do, like celebrate topping a Champions League group with a dominating performance a few days after going top of the league table.

        Cheers!

It’s fun to poke fun at others, but this seems a bit strange. We’ve been fucked by bad VAR decisions and so were Newcastle in my opinion. Like you’re just feeding the same fire that burned us.

I do agree with this and (although I did initially laugh) I don’t take that much pleasure in it because we will likely be complaining about something soon enough.

I think it’s just the way Newcastle fans were gloating and insisting that the foul was not a foul. It wound up a lot of Arsenal fans, so it’s understandable that some fans want to give some back.

But yes it was appalling officiating.

It’s not about the bad VAR decisions. It’s how Arsenal fans have been ridiculed for being upset about a shit decision and told to get over it. Now it’s happened to Newcastle and the karma is hilarious.

You’ve been ridiculed because you threw a collective hissy fit of epic proportions for what was essentially a 50/50, somehow blamed Newcastle for referring decisions and have, 4 weeks later, clearly still not got over it.

        Of course you were ridiculed.

Right, but did arsenal fans have a reason to be upset? Of course we did. Other teams will ridicule us until they are on the receiving end of a shit ass decision like that as well. We already have. We don’t need to perpetuate this by turning around and doing the same thing to other teams. Be better than that. Show solidarity with teams who are screwed over and pretty soon there will be a loud contingent calling for change. How short sighted can you be?
