That’s exactly what I was thinking! Too bad I already paid 2.5x as much for my Niro, but I love it anyways!
That probably means 200 miles of real world range if you’re lucky
Ummm… My Kia Niro, which is about the same size as an EV 5, has a 64 kWh pack and the real world range is actually quite a bit better than 200 miles on a full charge. At 80% it still has around 200 miles of range even in cooler weather, no luck required. Jus’ sayin’.
I’m on my 2nd EV now. I’m not going to say “Environmentally friendly” isn’t a plus, but that wasn’t part of my purchase decision for this car.
I was surprised to find out when using lane follow and adaptive cruise control on the highway that my Niro EV does an amazing job of driving itself hands free. I just need to occasionally give the steering wheel a gentle tap to keep it active, and it keeps itself centered in the lane better than I can, even around the curves. I’m not exaggerating when I say this feature has saved my life multiple times.
