The sales and service in my area was bad enough at the time, BMW won the business from my mother.
The salesman talked to me rather than her, had no vehicle for her to test but bold enough to suggest she place an order list price with him. A 5 series at BMW was purchased instead.
A Xenon bulb burned out on my B6 A4 3.0 Quattro. I replaced both from a large reputable retailer using Phillips bulbs. Both ballasts blew after installation (a common problem due to low quality caps), so I went to the same dealer. Service went on an accusatory tangent suggesting I purchased counterfeit bulbs, told me some horseshit about the Sylvania product code being specific to aged ballasts (it wasn’t) and that the ballasts only came as a headlight assembly for a $2200, plus bulbs. I found recapped/refurbished ballasts on Amazon for $200 and 45 minutes of my time for installation.
I like the cars but if my family is going to be jerked around, other manufacturers will get our business.
Neither. I had photos (long since transferred) taken onto an SD card. I recently looked at them after a couple of years to find many of them corrupt. Same for unused usb drives. You need to mount them periodically.
