The test vehicles usually have all the bells and whistles. and rental cars usually have none of those, just a barebones car. so both experiences have their upsides. 3 series is a great car, but feels crappy and cheap inside in the lowest trims ( at least here in Europe).
Never had a gaming pc. was doing all my gaming on consoles before, because i always thought that gaming on the pc is clunky, you cannot start by picking up the controller. (this might be an unpopular opinion-but it my opinion) Steamdeck changed this, i started buying steam games that i could only play in handheld mode.
i bought 3, have a backlog of around 10 (not huge). But we have a year to play those, and some of them will never get played. As written before “this is the way”.
Its not the level of ergonomics as dedicated controllers imo, but its not possible with the weight and the screen in between the joysticks :).
But, i find it very nice given the weight, still tiring after prolonged use. Switch is less ergonomic with small controllers and button placement, but after longer periods of gaming it feels better compared to Steam Deck. You cant mask the weight forever.
“the total carbon footprint of an EV is higher than an ICE” this depends from day to day due to economic factors, to locations that the vehicle is manufactured and depending on all the other aspects of supply chain and manufacturing process. Overall this is usually not true. But if its it true for the time being, every new second gen EV is more efficient than the 1st GEN counterpart, and sooner than later this will a solved problem.
“the energy used to recharge batteries comes from fossil fuels”, this is also very dependent on the infrastructure, and it is true in some parts of the world, but in large parts of europe this could come from %100 clean energy, at some hours of the day, which cannot be stored except in the batteries of these cars, helping the process (i.e charging through the night when the consumption is low but the turbines are still turning).
i agree with the second part, but this is true for every electronic component or rare materials we are using today, not specific to an EV, and tech is progressing to get rid of rare earth materials; albeit slowly. The direction is correct imo for a better future.
i love the look of that one! however i think the coupe is bad in every depaerment except the looks. (smaller, less practical, more expensive)
In Netherlands, i see them everywhere. Some people have two of them in same household. I think Volvo has a winner there.
imo these cars have nothing in common except may be price. i’d go for the cayenne as i am not a 50 yo executive with a dedicated driver. ( thats my steriotype for a 7 series owner-sorry).
