Why even bother contesting it in the first place? Who cares what people do with their steam decks? His results he posted in here and done live on camera show it helps in some areas. And if they don’t there’s a reversion button built into the tool.
I ran it. The guy has a lot of experience in Linux so I’ll take the tweaks. If they help then great I’ll enjoy those benefits because it takes like 10 seconds to apply them all, if there’s no benefit then the tweaks don’t even hurt anything. So if there’s possible gain in some manner of performance or hardware longevity due to the changes to swap and such then I’ll take it.
I enjoy my micron 2400 2tb. I haven’t noticed any extreme power draw but it does have really good speeds. I’ve seen steam install things at over 600mb at points. But most of the time I’m bottlenecks by the download speed so my ssd is typically at 60mb/s cuz that’s how my WiFi is.
Mines a Samsung if this is to be believed. I had some Mura effect on my screen that has mostly gone away. It’s definitely still there but so hard to see. You have to be so close to the screen to see it.
I’m with you minority friend. I think the LE is pretty ugly. I may be a 90s kid but the transparent aesthetic never sat with me.
That’s the OLED? Did it arrive like that or is it in an unmarked box?
Well if your pc is lower spec than a steam deck then you would have a pretty awesome computer upgrade. The deck is quite capable even at 1080p and it has the benefit of being a great all in one handheld. Enjoy yourself if you do decide to.
