nothing but money. italian teams punch above their weight in europe often because of good scouting and managers.
Neymar - ‘what if’ he wasn’t a prick?
Alongside Di Natalae, an almost unrivaled collection of golazzos. Legend.
looks fine. if they qualify and win the euros, everyone bitching about it will love it!
agree on darmian… but he’s pretty solid and would know the other defenders well.
dona
dimarco, bastoni, acerbi, darmian / calabria
Fratessi / Loca / Barella
Chiesa, scamacca, politano
Thoughts on this starting line-up?
*Berardi / raspadori rotated in for impact later on.
*Jorginho for control in 2nd half.
What does zaniolo *do*?
You can craft a good starting XI out of that squad. but the lack of depth in midfield is scary.
Fagioli and Tonali should’ve just chilled the fuck out and been happy little millionaires.
Kean, zaniolo, cristante, el sha, toloi… no place in any italy squad, for me.
why do we need to waste a fourth spot for an extra GK? take two, have a third on standby and throw in two more young midfielders to get a taste of the squad.
Napoli have lost their mojo. i’m not a huge conte fan but i could see him having at least one great season with them. De Zerbi would be the #1 choice for me, to build something.
I can only comment on players i saw in my lifetime, and their whole career from start to finish. So, Paolo Maldini.
ah, at least he gave us his very best in the euros, when it counted.
Darmian, Calabria, Di Lorenzo, Udogie, Di Marco. Good options. I don’t watch much of Roma, how has Spina been playing?
They can’t do worse than what we have seen recently. Barella must be free to roam to be effective. The group of Loca, Jorginho, Barella, Fagioli (eventually), Frattesi, Bona off the bench, is very decent. I really wish Verratti had joined a Serie A team or Spanish team to keep himself sharp as there really is no-one like him for controlling the tempo.
I don’t actually WANT serie A to be like the premier league. i find serie a games more fun to watch, and the league is competitive.
