Compare G80 M3 and M340i. The F80 is a different level, fully agree.

M340i is as much of an M car as many of the actual M badges of the past. If they’d made the M340i and said it was the M3, I don’t think anyone would argue. It’s definitely not a “regular 3 series”.

The F80 is probably the best M3 ever made, or at least top 2. But, the M340i is one of the best sedans BMW has ever made.

There really isn’t a wrong answer here.

I suppose it depends what kind of hardware you’re using. I have enterprise class servers that are meant to run 24/7 and they do. They’ll be useless technologically before they wear out.
