How is the sentiment of separating the artist from the art different from not giving money to transphobes?
Literally every part of it.
Hope that helps.

Isn’t option 1 all dairy products being non dairy? I’m sorry am i just particularly slow?
And… that is different from separating art from the artist.
Hope that helps.
We don’t give money to transphobes if we can avoid it.
Books, movies and games are very easy to avoid.
How would option 1 be a microagression?
Christianity’s power rest on Jesus nature as God and human at the same time. Without that the theology would have to be very very different.
Reading the new testament would be informative on this front. It is not about philosophy or morals, it is about Jesus Christ as a specific individual one must suck up to.
Do you notice the comment you replied to explicitly said “first hand” and you explicitly said “reliable”.
You are talking about different things.
Real tired of Christians trying to usher in the apocalypse.
It’s part of the first comment i replied to.
Indeed, it’s the part of your comment that I replied to first.
That’s because water is necessary to life.
When doing risk analysis something that is required to keep people alive gets a few extra points towards being accessible for, hopefully, obvious reasons.
If even something that is necessary for life is controlled due to the danger it poses, you can imagine why people would seek to restrict dangerous things that people can live without.
So what, no one would be allowed to teach others about their religion?
That’s a level of control i don’t think any organisation or government should have.
Banning religion full stop is wrong and won’t stop belief.
However, religion should not have any special protections that other groups do not get.
Religion should not exclude people from mandatory childhood vaccines, religion should not be a mitigating factor in vilification or defamation cases etc.
You seem to be forgetting where this conversation started.
You said:
Whether you’re blaming a god or snubbing one, if you’re doing so on the grounds that nobody stopped one human from abusing or neglecting another it would seem like your accusation is misplaced.
I said:
Human suffering doesn’t just come from human actions.
It also comes from natural causes, genetic defects, disasters, disease and parasites
The fact that humans do cause human suffering, which I have never said wasn’t the case, does not contradict my statement at all.
You take a very narrow view of history.
If all that exists was the last hundred years thwn you may have a point.
But you can’t just shrug aside the thousands of years before that.
Yes, and that’s why we don’t allow people to flood school, hospitals and homes with water. It is controlled and diverted.
Human suffering doesn’t just come from human actions.

Because religion can be and has been used to convince people to do terrible things. The fewer false beliefs people hold the fewer things can be used to manipulate them in this way.
The most important tenet of conservatism is to just assume the past is what you think it was.
Huge fan of Princess Mononoke.
Not sure what exactly it is, but the characters and setting have just stuck with me since the first time I saw it.
All mammals produce milk, not just cows.
Assuming zootopia never had a cows milk industry, dairy wouldn’t be wrongly assumed to just mean bovine milk.
