You’re missing the point.

FFP is designed to stop small clubs buying trophies before becoming a big club.

If you’re rich and want to win trophies either buy a big club, or buy a small one and make it big by growing it as a business over decades (Brighton, Brentford etc).

City are desperate to drag it out as long as possible. The PL should oblige them and do it charge by charge and 5/6 points a charge and 2/3 charges a season should be enough.
