Atmosphere at Galatasaray is absolutely incredible, one of the best grounds in Europe without question
For me “world class” is defined as “would the best teams in the world find a way to get you into their first XI”. Only guys I see that are in that class are Saliba, and arguably Rice & Saka, though I think those two are just a touch short.
proven & experienced PL defender
Anyone who watched him knows he was far from “proven” to be anything but a decent rotational player who you could start in the Carabao Cup.
He looks like he should be so much better than he actually is. It’s honestly maddening.
It is getting a bit exhausting, especially because I think our style this year combined with the low blocks we’re seeing make us less likely to win the title. We’ve been fortunate enough to get late winners against United, City & Brentford (as well as a 70th minute winner against Everton) but eventually those 1-0 wins are going to be accompanied by 0-0 draws.
PSG is overrated, I’d be more than fine drawing them in the R16.
It’s not as bad as ownership, but our hands are definitely a bit dirty with the Emirates sponsorship and it would be the right move to leave it behind.
Not to mention nobody likes the corporate naming anyway, stadium names like Highbury, Anfield & Old Trafford will always be astronomically clear of the likes of Emirates & Etihad.
I can recognize that it was a poor decision that hurts the game, while also enjoying the turnabout of cunts like Shearer whining about last night’s decision after telling us to stop doing the same a couple weeks ago.
Wow we finished second to arguably the best team in Premier League history, how embarrassing
Seethe and cope, you losers
Why do you feel the need to be a dick?
Not the sharpest, are we?
Honestly it would be a shame for this Villa team to lose Luiz midseason, I think they’ll be competing with Newcastle for that 4th CL spot if they keep him. I can’t imagine they’d sell such an important piece unless we drastically overpay.
Yeah tbf this guy has some of the consistently worst takes
The way I see it, they’ve won the big trophies under Klopp, but especially now that City won a treble, that Liverpool team is a clear step behind Pep’s City. And if they couldn’t measure up to those teams, they don’t want anyone else to either.
Weirdly I feel better about our chances in the UCL than I do in the league. We’ve scraped out a lot of wins with excellent defense and timely late goals. That kind of style will lead to us dropping some points from draws in the league, but we will be a tough out in the knockouts because we just don’t concede all that often.
Agreed, he feels like a “well there aren’t any better options that won’t break the bank” kind of player. I would rather have us hold out for a player who is a true level raiser, even if it means no new arrivals up front in January.
They didn’t beat a single top half side last month, who cares about manager of the month they’ll continue to be humbled whenever they play an actual top 4 contender.
This feels like it should already be the case. How silly would it be in basketball if your best shooter got to take every free throw?
I’m more confident we’ll avoid defeat, but less confident we’ll win. That game seems destined for a 1-1 draw.
I’m a firm believer that you need to give a manager time (usually at least 3 years) to get his players into the team and teach his system to them. But my God United are so hopelessly dysfunctional and I really don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, I think ETH has to go.
