Be sure to check on your car’s charging capabilities though. New Tesla Model 3 RWDs, for example, max out at 32A which is what most 240V plugin chargers can do. Hardwired L2 chargers can usually go higher, but if your vehicle doesn’t support the higher amps then the added cost wouldn’t give you any actual benefit.

This is why I leased. Tesla can tank their used market as much as they want, my “resale value” is enshrined in a contract.

having a 15A outlet in the back is pretty nice. The 120V outlets I seen in most normal non-trucks usually aren’t capable of much more than charging a laptop. You actually could run a microwave or toaster off of this.

Overall, a lot of really smart design decisions on this one.
