1 year agoThey could probably make 100K PHEVs with that. I don’t understand why don’t automakers do that. You can literally use it as an electric vehicle—a lighter one, at that—while in the city, and maybe fill it up 3-4 times a year for longer trips. Makes no sense to go full ev and have a huge pile of rare earth metals just adding weight to your car and almost never getting used.
Pretty much the microeconomic definition of a market that must eventually cease to exist.
