I just watched episode 3 of monarch and it was crispy, so not a universal problem.

Wifi only devices suck, so if it’s not thread you generally want zigbee which is going to need a hub.

I’m all about cameras external, and hey maybe internal facing doors is good added security. The rest? Nah inside your home needs some privacy.

My eve motionblinds were a great investment. I have them automated based on the angle of the sun to dip and stop glare in the afternoons, and if I snooze my alarm they all open to make sure I don’t fall back into a deep sleep.
Studio display would be a giant waste of money on an AppleTV. You want a TV with HDMI CEC.
If you want to go a monitor I’d suggest one of those TV operating system monitors might essentially be TV’s without a terrestrial tuner.
