I usually don’t have much to say about Eddie, but I was very surprised that when he came on last night, he was largely unenergetic. I remember right near the end of the game he got the ball on the wing on the near side, and he couldn’t even exploit the fact that he had fresh legs against a tired defender. A surprising lack of pace, that’s for sure. A fresh Martinelli, a young Henry, etc, would have skinned the dude alive
Really? I don’t remember a single good sub appearance from him since his debut. Probably his biggest criticism is that he simply does not impact games from the bench.
The one sub appearance where he made a difference was Fulham at home this season. Otherwise - he’s just not a good bench player
