I mean objectively they could’ve pretty much had any player that was available for trade this off season and ended up doing absolutely nothing I don’t understand what was Pat Riley’s thought process genuinely

Their salary cap situation and cap hits for the players they were willing to trade are what held them back in the offseason. They had a ton of limitations and not a lot of leverage.
They could have easily get Beal in my opinion,(they didn’t want him tho though Dame is sure thing )package for Jrue they could outbid also but think Blazers didn’t wanna deal with them at that point lol.
They wanted Dame but it seems they didn’t offer enough lots of reports saying they were lowballing Blazers cause Dame only wanted to go to Miami
The Miami Heat didn’t think Beal was 30 million dollars better than Tyler Herro which I agree with that but I was all in on the Dame trade.
Upgrading Herro to Beal doesn’t really move the needle for the Heat, particularly once you factor in how many games Beal will inevitably miss.
I wonder Herro missed lots of games too…Think Beal is better but ofc not as good as Dame who they were pursuing
Beal is already injured and most likely the Suns won’t have his soft ass until December.
