    I think people are forgetting that Ramsdale distribution regressed last season and was not up to standard this season either. Instead of playing it short he would usually just hoof it up. Raya continues to play out from the back even after he makes a mistake, that makes him brave in my opinion. Its clear Arteta wants a keeper that is calm under pressure and Raya is more calm than Ramsdale (For now)

        It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, or if you make a stop or concede a goal. What it matters is to be brave and keep playing out from the back, killing with boredom all the viewers.

      Ramsdale got worse every his start he was amazing for the first half of 21/22 and since then never really got back to it

      Non-goalkeeping football people will always hyper focus on the ONE mistake leading to a shot or goal and the entire goalkeeping performance goes out the window. Sweeper keepers get lobbed by cross-cum-shots all the time. Raya is better at claiming crosses anyway

      Raya hoofs more than Ramsdale, its there in the long ball stats.

      Calling Raya calm under pressure after the last 2 games seems off to me too. He’s looked very nervous.
